The activated carbon filters offer a particularly healthy smoking experience with a high draft thanks to the 4cm length of the filters. Pollutants such as tar, cyanide and ammonia can be removed while maintaining airflow.
As a source of charcoal, ShangHigh deliberately chose bamboo because it offers a lot of surface area to filter out pollutants and does not smear easily. This gives off very little of its own taste.
The openings of the filters are designed to create a strong airflow while preventing charcoal paint from landing on your lips.
